Tzatziki is a Greek yoghurt dip that is delightful and refreshing to enjoy on a hot summer’s day. Made from cooling ingredients such as cucumber mint, lemon and yoghurt, it’s an easy dip that goes well with naan, vegetable sticks and even roast meat. Highly recommend you to try this dip with Tandoori chicken and fresh bread!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole cucumber
  • 3 tbsp mint sauce
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1.5 cups yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of pepper

Instructions

  • Grate the cucumber finely with a grater and let it sit for 5 minutes (this helps to ensure you get as much water out as possible in the next step).
  • Chop the garlic finely.
  • Place the grated cucumber in a clean cloth (bare hands is fine too) and squeeze as much cucumber liquid out as you can.
  • Add yoghurt, cucumber, mint sauce, chopped garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper into a bowl and mix well.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the dip and enjoy!
