Throughout 2025, Sunway XFarms has kept its promise to help communities in need battle malnutrition by donating Sunny Strong nutritious multigrain drink.
Malnutrition is a challenge many communities face, particularly for those who struggle with financial income and acquisition availability. At Sunway XFarms, we aim for nutritious food to be accessible to all; whether through our fresh & sustainably grown vegetables or healthy pantry foods.
Throughout our years of work, we have seen the prevalent gap in nutrition within communities, and in 2024, we finally found the best course of action for us to take as a farm in order to nourish those beyond the farm’s reach. We created Sunny Strong, with the goal of combatting malnourishment via food aid programmes and support to those in need. This multigrain drink was designed to offer an affordable yet nutritious option for a wide range of people, from children to senior citizens, even extending to those with dietary restrictions.
With a unique blend of over 40 multigrains, 13 essential vitamins and minerals, high calcium content, and a healthy dose of protein, Sunny Strong offers a nutritional solution without the artificial flavoring and excess sugars that are so prevalent in conventional breakfast drinks. In fact, it contains up to 75% less sugar than the drinks typically found in stores, making it a healthier choice for those looking to fuel their bodies without compromising on taste or health.
In addition, Sunny Strong is enriched with sunflower microgreens, a tiny yet mighty mini vegetable that is sustainably grown by Sunway XFarms. These nutty-flavoured microgreens are packed with benefits such as bone support, immunity boost, and maintaining one’s heart & eye health. They are also rich in amino acids, which play a crucial role in muscle repair and overall well-being. The inclusion of these microgreens elevates the drink’s nutritional value, yet it is easy for even picky eaters to “drink their greens” without tasting any bitterness.

Donating Sunny Strong to Support Children at Welfare Homes
On 9th January 2025, Sunway XFarms donated Sunny Strong to several children’s homes in KL. These homes care for children aged 3 to 18, many of whom come from abusive, abandoned, or orphaned backgrounds.
Although without families, these children deserve to be cared for, nourished, and loved, just like any other child. Through Sunny Strong, we help the caretakers of these children provide them with the daily dose of vitamins, minerals, and protein needed for their physical and mental development. This small gesture is part of our larger commitment to supporting children who face difficult circumstances, and we are grateful to be able to offer them a healthier, more nutritious alternative.
Helping the New Life Foundation Beneficiaries get Daily Nutrition
On 23rd January 2025, we reached out to New Life Foundation (NLF), an organization dedicated to providing support for patients undergoing treatment for serious health conditions. When we introduced Sunny Strong, NLF immediately recognized its potential to help four of their existing beneficiaries who were having difficulty eating solid food due to critical conditions.
Among them was Kak Iman, a cancer patient who has sensitive digestion on top of being unable to take solid foods. She was overjoyed to discover that Sunny Strong came in a berry flavour and couldn’t wait to try it. In Sunny Strong was she able to find comfort, knowing that she could still enjoy a simple drink that would nourish her body in a way that suited her health needs.
We were fortunate enough to visit a few beneficiaries personally in their homes, and the experience was deeply humbling. Hearing their experiences and struggles firsthand gave us much to think about on how we could further help them. To be able to offer Sunny Strong as an alternative to their daily diet was both a privilege and a responsibility we carry with pride.

Empowering the Orang Asli Community
On 5th February 2025, we took Sunny Strong to the Orang Asli villages in Raub, Pahang, where we distributed the drinks to children attending the local learning center. These villages, home to the indigenous Orang Asli community, face numerous challenges– low wages, limited access to fresh produce, and reliance on food aid from donors.
For these communities, Sunny Strong serves beyond a breakfast drink to help children keep full. It offers them a vital source of calcium, protein and vitamins to support their growth and development, which are often lacking in their diets due to the irregular availability of fresh food. In the learning centers, where dedicated “house mothers” prepare meals for the children, Sunny Strong becomes a powerful ally in ensuring these young ones grow up healthy and strong.
While the community primarily relies on foraging in the jungle due to its limited access to the market and financial constraints, Sunny Strong ensures they can still receive the essential nutrients they need without having to worry about the cost of fresh produce. By offering a nutritious, ready-to-consume drink, we’re helping to address the nutritional gaps in their daily diets and contributing to their overall well-being.
